Tap water is a healthier option than soft drinks or sport drinks. It is also much less
expensive and much better for the environment than bottled water. But tap water is not perfect. According to
the Environmental Working Group, 315 pollutants have been found in America’s tap water since 2004. More than
half of these pollutants are completely unregulated—meaning they can legally exist in any amount. So when
people question the safety of tap water, what can they do to keep their bodies properly hydrated safely?
What Do You Find In Public Drinking Water?
Harmful to the thyroid and possibly carcinogenic -- is in the water of 20 million Americans.
Can cause brain damage, gets into drinking water from corroding pipes and faucets
Including coliform bacteria and Cryptosporidium, a microscopic disease-carrying protozoan.
Not safe at any level in drinking water, is in the drinking water of 22 million Americans.

Bottled water is not necessarily healthier than tap water and yet it costs much
Although associated with healthy water, bottled water is not guaranteed to be any healthier than tap water. Often the only difference is the added minerals which have no proven health benefits.
A four-year study by the Natural Resources Defense Council
shows that 1/3 of the bottled water tested contains levels of contamination which exceed allowable limits. Bottled water can also be slightly acidic, which may affect your body's pH balance.
Independent labs that conducted testing for NRDC found
high levels of heterotrophic-plate-count bacteria in some samples, and in a few cases coliform bacteria. Finally, the environmental impact caused by the production and disposal of plastic bottles is harmful to our ecosystem.

Reverse Osmosis is a filtering process, which may be effective in areas where municipally treated water is not available. It is also commonly used in bottled water facilities. While this process removes some unwanted materials, dangerous chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, and chlorine are molecularly smaller than water and get through the filter and ultimately into your body. This filtering process also removes naturally occurring minerals that enhance the taste of water, keep the water naturally healthy, and work with the body’s own system. Finally, in order to produce just one gallon of filtered water, Reverse Osmosis wastes two to three gallons of water.
The Kangen Water® System filters your tap water and produces ionized alkaline water with five different pH levels that are perfect for food preparation, cooking, beauty, personal hygiene, cleaning, and sanitizing—in addition to drinking.
